My experience filming these shots was very enjoyable. Me and my friends in the class thought of many different fun and creative ways to make the different shots. Our favorite shot was the tracking shot because my friend chases me my other friend in a car for it. Some shots like the tracking and dolly required more equipment and effort while others like the static and pan were quite easy. Overall I learned more about the shots and had a great time.
Push in/Pull Out
The Push in/Pull out shots were quite easy to shoot as we just had to move the camera in record the actor and then move the camera out to create the full shot.
Pan
The pan shot was easiest as we just had to pan the camera horizontally through the shot to show the two characters.
Tracking
The Tracking shot was the most complicated to shoot as we need wheels to film it. We ended up attaching the camera to a car and following the actors in it to track them smoothly.
Static
The static shot was able to be done in school as all that was needed was a still camera. We ended up just shooting a still video of the courtyard with us walking through it keeping the camera still throughout.
Zoom in
The zoom shot was fun because we just got very far from the camera and messed around while the cameraman zoomed in on us. The shot needed expensive equipment like a camera with a strong zoom.
Dolly Zoom
The dolly zoom was very fun because I find it to be a very cool shot. The shot required a fancy camera with a good, smooth zoom and some finesse to keep the shot still while moving in and zooming out.
Tilt
The tilt shot was simple as we just needed to tilt the camera down vertically, we wanted to show what a tilt would normally be used for in the shot.
Boom Shot
The boom shot took a few tries to get the speed right but was simple as we just needed to move the camera down along with the actor. It was fun to go down the slide.
Random Movement
The camera shot was the easiest as there was no specific rules, the camera just needed to follow the actor as he moved around the shot.
